We wanted a breed that is strong, smart with endless power and a challenge that would reward us with love and respect. Everyday we are learning more about this amazing breed, everyday we see a different part to their personality and a strength that has made us strong and very aware of the needs and life that the Malamute will appreciate and respect us for.
We started off with getting Malouse and very soon we learnt that although she was happy and loved us, she still needed her own kind for company aswell. The Malamute is a very strong pack animal needing to live in numbers and not good on their own. We opened a can of worms and the excitement got bigger when we decided to get a male pup to introduce to our pack. It was hard and I won't say it was easy, a new pup was very demanding and alot of hard work, looking back on it now is funny but at the time everyday was long.
Our journey through the years have brought us in contact with very experienced Malamute owners from all over the world, United Kingdom and Ireland with all of us having the same passion and thirst for this beautiful animal. Our family pack started to drift towards the Show world with us attending Open and Championship shows, the competition was good and it brought us to another level of understanding and a new level of love and commitment.
No one can say that a Malamute is easy and we know only too well of the difficult side and the tears and worry that it has brought with it, I think to myself sometimes that we're crazy, most people probably think we are! It's a crazy love but it keeps us going and we are proud of what we have achieved together with our pack.
